When launching a new product, the manufacturers think about its placement in the market and how it will be displayed. For example, the styling of the VW Beetle has been updated to keep up with current technologies, but the classic lines are still there, while Renault are innovative with their design lines and constantly changing the basic shape of its mainstream models. Each of these brands present 'a calling card' image to leave with potential owners.
In the same way, thinking of yourself as a product, you can decide on what message your 'calling card' conveys about you; you can use your 'calling card' or PBV (Personal Brand Value) to create the impact that you want with the people you work with.
Where there are no specific guidelines provided by a company on their dress code, you have a great opportunity to outshine your colleagues in the way you present yourself in business. As we know , 'dress' is a powerful business tool and for you as individuals, you have to make sure that you still exude power, credibility and style, in both business formal and business casual attire.
